Skimo, or Ski Mountaineering, is a racing series that involves both climbing and descending mountains, either on or skis or carrying them. These are a selection of images taken for Skimo Scotland, who operate the races around the Scottish Highlands.

Covid restrictions put a hold on any races scheduled for the 2020 - 2021 season and a generally mild winter did not look good for 2021 - 2022. Thankfully despite the ever changing weather conditions, a late snow coverage at the Glenshee Ski Centre allowed the British Championships race to go ahead. Conditions for the day were challenging, ranging from some slight sun, to heavy blizzards with heavily reduced visibility.
